Welcome Steve Grenzow, communication and administrative assistant

Steve Grenzow

Steve Grenzow, an experienced social media, audio and video producer, web designer, technical expert and multimedia marketer, has joined the diocesan staff as communication and administrative assistant. He brings a deep appreciation for and knowledge of how to use communications platforms to spread God’s word. His first day was October 7, 2019.

Grenzow has more than 30 years of church production experience, “transporting the word of God to people everywhere.” He has designed and built audio and video production facilities for churches Wisconsin, Colorado, Maryland, and Texas, then trained volunteers and staff members to manage and run these facilities. He currently manages a group of volunteers who operate the Media Center at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Arlington, where they have produced more than 500 videos in the last 8 years.

He describes himself as “a very energetic, detail oriented, collaborative and creative self-starter who is always looking for exciting new insights and opportunities.”

Experience

He has worked with Tribune Media Services, Arlington; Comcast in Maryland, and Time Warner in Denver. Most recently he worked as managerial supervisor in Guest Services at Six Flags over Texas in Arlington.

He has created content for web, email, social media, print, exhibits, internal networks, radio and television, and prepared websites, targeted emails and social media messaging. He has worked in radio and television, creating promotional campaigns for Comcast, Time Warner and HBO at Sea World and Disney World. He is a database master, creator and maintainer, with skills to create cross-functional databases for a variety of users and purposes.

He has extensive experience as a trainer and supervisor of volunteers and interns, as well as experience in as a technical trainer in Fortune 100 companies. In addition to Westminster Presbyterian, he has worked with Embrace UCC, Richland Hills; Agape MCC, Fort Worth; Open Door Church, Germantown, MD; and Cargill United Methodist Church, First Lutheran Church, St John Lutheran Church, and Mt Zion United Methodist Church, all in Janesville, WI.

Education

Steve has a BS in Radio/Television Management and Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, and a Social Media Certificate in CRM, Email, Social Media and Analytics from the University of Texas – Arlington.

He lives with his husband of 31 years, the Rev. Ken Ehrke, in Arlington.
