Tornado Relief Donations, Specific Needs in Cleburne

The Rev. Tracie Middleton has provided an update on tornado relief in our diocese:

Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD) is working through the diocese to identify and respond to needs in the impacted Texas communities, including making plans for long-term recovery. You can contribute to these efforts by donating through our  diocese or through Episcopal Relief and Development.  ERD has published information about their 2013 tornado responses in Texas and Oklahoma; you can read it here.

Pam Yarborough, a member at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Stephenville, whose family lives in Cleburne, provided information on the following needs in the Cleburne community:

The City of Cleburne Animal Control Shelter at 2375 Service Dr., Cleburne,817-556-8895, and the Johnson County Humane Society, 817-517-5111, info@jchspets.com need pet food and kitty litter.

The Cleburne Chamber of Commerce has set up a Cleburne Area Relief Fund through the Pinnacle Bank. They will have a committee that will review applications before disbursing the funds. They are in the process of setting up an online payment process for this fund.
