St. Stephen’s in Hurst has installed a Little Free Library. Small boxes of books like this one are part of a world-wide network to promote literacy. They can be found in public places and in front of homes. The network is monitored and publicized by LittleFreeLibrary.org. The idea is to share good things to read. St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Hurst, has called the Rev. Robert Gross to be their interim priest in charge. Gross was ordained a priest on December 6, 2008, in the Episcopal Diocese of the Rio Grande. Demolition day launches work on new building

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Hurst, spent Saturday, June 7, 2014, tearing out the interior of their new building at 463 Harwood Drive in Hurst. “We’re tearing out the old and putting in the new,” said Vernon Gotcher, priest in charge. Gotcher was the founding rector of St. Stephen’s in 1966. Sunday, January 22, was a very special day in the life of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Hurst. Rarely does the whole congregation have the opportunity to witness the results of one of its Outreach Projects, but that’s just what happened. Episcopalians serve on MLK Day

Several Episcopalians responded to the Bishop’s Challenge and took part in the MLK Day of Service on Monday, January 16, some as part of the Tarrant Area Community of Churches event and some as part of other efforts.
