On Sunday, October 2, St. Luke’s in the Meadow, Fort Worth, held Church in the Park with a service in the Pavilion at Oakland Lake Park in east Fort Worth. Little Free Library dedication set at St. Luke’s
The Little Free Library at St. Luke’s in the Meadow, Fort Worth, will be dedicated on Sunday, April 17, immediately following the 10 am worship service. The library was built by Audrey de Cardenas as her project for East Fort Worth 4H. It memorializes Aaron Forrester, the deceased son of Laurie Alsobrook, a parishioner. Connie Kline, last charter member of St. Luke’s, Fort Worth, dies
Connie Kline died on February 29, 2016. She was buried on March 12, 2016, at St. Luke’s in the Meadow, Fort Worth, on what would have been her 100th birthday. Kline was the last remaining charter member of St. Luke’s. Former rectors of St. Luke’s, the Rev. Gayland Pool and the Rev. Jim Horton, joined the current rector, the Rev. Bishop High visits St. Luke’s, Fort Worth
The Rt. Rev. Rayford B.High, Jr., made his last official visitation before his June 30 retirement to St. Luke’s in the Meadow, Fort Worth. He confirmed Olivia Wilson, Gabriel Phillips, Caleb Fisher, and T. J. Jennings,and received John Dickinson and Nicholas Busken. There was a reception in the parish hall afterward. The Rev. Katen Calafat was installed as the part time rector of St. Luke’s in the Meadow, Fort Worth, by the Rt. Rev. Rayford B. Sunday. October 5, 2014, was a busy day in the diocese. In addition to all the regular Sunday worship services, three congregations welcomed new clergy, the Episcopal Church of Hamilton County held an Open House, and the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Granbury hosted a Hymn Fest of Traditional Christian Hymns.
