Bishop Mayer baptizes, confirms, receives at St. Luke’s, Fort Worth
Bishop J. Scott Mayer visited St. Luke’s in the Meadow, Fort Worth, on Sunday, February 12. He baptized Daun Harner-Weeks and confirmed Tracy Bechtel and Amanda Harner-Weeks. Bishop and clergy reaffirm vows
Bishop Scott Mayer and the clergy of the diocese gathered Tuesday at a worship service at St. Luke’s in the Meadow, Fort Worth to reaffirm vows they made at their ordinations. The bishop blessed oils (called chrism) for anointing at baptism and for healing. During the service, he anointed the hands of the clergy. Reaffirmation of vows, blessing of oils
On Tuesday, March 31, 2015, the clergy of the diocese gathered with the Rt. Rev. Rayford B. High, Jr., at St. Luke’s in the Meadow Episcopal Church, Fort Worth, to reaffirm their vows. Bishop High also blessed vials of oil for use by the clergy in the coming year. The worship service, traditionally held on Tuesday of Holy Week, was followed by a luncheon and meeting of the bishop with the clergy. See more photos at the diocesan Flickr gallery.…
