Sylvia and Tim Stevens, members of St. Christopher Episcopal Church, Fort Worth, have made a generous gift of $240,000 in honor of the Rt. Rev. Rayford B. High, Jr., provisional bishop of the Diocese of Fort Worth from November 2012 to May, 2015. This gift establishes the Bishop Rayford B. The Rev. Dr. Vernon and Deanna Gotcher were honored by the people of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Hurst, on Saturday, September 27, 2014, at a dinner at Diamond Oaks Country Club in Haltom City. Diocese of Fort Worth one of 42 paying full asking

On Tuesday, July 1, The Episcopal Church Office of Finance issued a mid-year updated report on diocesan commitments. In the report, N. Kurt Barnes, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer, announced “that all Episcopal dioceses located in the United States and nearly every non-United States diocese have committed to the 2014 budget of The Episcopal Church.” Barnes reported that “42 dioceses have committed to the full 19% asking level adopted by General Convention 2012.” The Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth is one of…

Fort Worth clergy participate in retreat at Camp Allen

Bishop Rayford B. High, Jr. and his wife, Pat, participated in the May 5-7 Episcopal Diocese of Texas Retreat for Retired Clergy, Spouses, and Surviving Spouses at Camp Allen in Navasota, TX. The Rev. Johnson Shannon and his wife, Mary, of Fort Worth, also took part in the retreat. The retired clergy of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth have been invited to participate in the retreat in recent years.
