TEC Executive Council approves generous grant

The Executive Council of The Episcopal Church passed a resolution on Friday, June 10, 2016, supporting the work of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth and responding to the diocese’s request, at the Executive Council’s February 26-28 meeting in Fort Worth, for $600,000 in grant funding. Executive Council meets for first time in 2015

The Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth met on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Hurst. Among other business, the council heard about the Rt. Rev. Rayford B. The Executive Council of the diocese met Saturday, May 17, 2014, at St. Luke in the Meadow Episcopal Church, Fort Worth. The council passed bylaws for the council, a policy on Safeguarding programs, a policy on background checks, and an employee’s handbook for diocesan staff. Diocesan reps carry greetings to Niobrara

Sandy Shockley and Deborah Nichols, both from St. Mary Hamilton, will attend the 141st Niobrara Convocation June 17-23, on the Lower Brule Reservation in the Diocese of South Dakota. The Niobrara Convocation – an annual gathering of the Lakota, Dakota, and Nakota peoples – has been termed “one of the most important events of the missionary work of the Episcopal Church in the United States.”

Executive council meeting rescheduled

The September meeting of the diocesan executive council has been rescheduled. Because the House of Bishops will be meeting Sept. 19-23 in Nashville, the meeting has been moved to Sept. 28, at All Saints Fort Worth. Please mark your calendar.
