Registration for delegates and alternates for the 2013 Diocesan Convention November 8-9 in Wichita Falls are being handled through their congregations, and not online. This year, congregations have been asked to register and pay for their representatives prior to the Oct. 4 cut-off for the “early bird” rate, as posted in Announcing registration dates and fees for the 2013 Diocesan Convention. Standing Committee elects officers for 2012-2013

The Standing Committee met immediately following the diocesan convention & elected their officers for 2012-2013. Mrs. Marti Fagley was elected president & Ms. Elinor Normand was elected Secretary. Mrs. Karen Shepherd agreed to continue to serve as Clerk of the Standing Committee. New members, the Rev. Curt Norman & Mr. Norm Snyder, were welcomed to the Standing Committee.

Rayford High was elected and installed as the third provisional bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth during the 30th Diocesan Convention Nov. 3 at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. Excitement is building as diocesan convention approaches. The 30th Diocesan Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth will be November 2-3, 2012, in the Student Center at Tarleton State University in Stephenville. The Southern Deanery is the host. The convention is open to anyone who is interested, in addition to the clergy and lay delegates. As was the case last year, delegates and visitors will be seated in the same area. All legislative business, worship and other activities will take place in the same large room.…
