The Rev. Janet Nocher was ordained in 1996 and served as Deacon at St. Christopher and at Trinity Episcopal Church. She has served as a hospital chaplain at Baylor All Saints Hospital and is currently Chaplain at the Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation in southwest Fort Worth.
Janet served on the Commission on Ministry of our diocese for over ten years. Janet was an alternate deputy to The Episcopal Church’s General Convention in 2009. She is a Stephen Ministry leader who has also been active in Cursillo renewal retreats and Kairos prison ministry retreats. She currently serves the Diocese as a board member of Tarrant Churches Together and finished a one year term on the Disciplinary Committee.
When not reporting to Diocesan Convention you will find her at an exhibitor’s table representing Episcopal Relief and Development for which she has served as Diocesan chair since 2009. In recent years Janet has been the Province VII co-chair of the Older Adult Ministry, which sponsors an annual 3-day Abundant Living Conference for seniors at Camp Allen at Navasota, Texas.
