Presiding Bishop Michael Curry practically raised the roof of University Christian Church with his sermon at the festival worship service on Saturday, April 8, 2017.
“I love to tell the story” was the theme of his visit, and of his sermon. He talked of the various ways Jesus’ story touched people in scripture – and now touches us. And when Jesus’ story meets the story of another, a new story is created.
The offering, which was designated for Refugee Services of Texas, raised more than $4,300.
