Leadership Training Day set for all lay and ordained leaders

Leadership Training Day set for all lay and ordained leaders

All lay and ordained leaders are invited to a Leadership Training Day from 9:30 to 3 pm on Saturday, February 23, 2019,  at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church, Keller.

Bishop Scott Mayer said, “This is the first leadership training session the diocese has offered in several years, and I urge all vestry members, and clergy in leadership roles in congregations to attend. The workshop topics were planned in response to questions and issues raised by leaders in various congregations so the material will be timely and useful in your work.”

Bishop Mayer will be presenting the workshop on Roles and Responsibilities of Vestry and Wardens at 2 pm. Other workshops are Canons/Diocesan Policies, Conflict Management, Parish Communication, Parish Finances: Procedures and Audits, and Parish Legal Matters and Bylaws.

The bishop suggests vestries split up so each vestry has someone attending all the workshops, with participants prepared to share what they learn with the others.

Registration is closed in order to give the staff time to prepare for the event. If you have not yet registered, please contact Michele King at michele.king@edotn.org.
