The Rev. Jordan Melissa Haynie Ware will be ordained a priest at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at All Saints Episcopal Church, 5001 Crestline Road, Fort Worth, TX 76107. The Rt. Rev. Rayford B. High, Jr. will officiate.
The Rev. Ware is the Associate for Youth and Young Adults for All Saints, working with youth and young adult programming, fellowship, and pastoral care as well as taking part in the Sunday rota.
She was ordained to the transitional diaconate December 21, 2012, St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church, 223 S. Pearson Lane, Keller, Texas, 76248.
She is a native Texan who joined the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth at St. Martin-in-the-Fields in the spring of 2009. A 2007 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, she has spent the past three years studying at Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, where she finished her Master of Divinity degree in May. She married Derek Ware, a second grade teacher originally from Mississippi, in June.
