A few hours left to participate in #GivingTuesday opportunities.
Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to support non-profit organizations, schools, faith communities, and other groups that encourage giving. Support can be in the form of your time, donations, goods, or advocacy.
#GivingTuesday harnesses the potential of social media and the generosity of people around the world to bring about real change in their communities; it provides a platform for them to encourage the donation of time, resources and talents to address local challenges. It also brings together the collective power of a unique blend of partners— nonprofits, civic organizations, businesses and corporations, as well as families and individuals—to encourage and amplify small acts of kindness.
Here are a few organizations our diocese is connected to that are participating in #GivingTuesday campaigns:
- Texas Impact – membership campaign or donation
- Refugee Services of Texas
- Tarrant Area Food Bank
- Episcopal Relief & Development (donations through Dec. 31 will be matched, doubling the impact)
You can support Episcopal congregations, schools, or the diocese.
You can also search for giving campaigns near you or specific types of organizations you’d like to connect with.
Consider creating a campaign for your own congregation and/or organization(s) in the future, too, and connect with more people who want to collaborate with your mission.
