All Saints’ offers Godly Play training

All Saints’ offers Godly Play training

Godly Play training you can afford, in time and in money! Right here in Fort Worth at All Saints’ Episcopal Church! The core training is offered for commuters in three Saturday sessions, 9am to 5pm each day, on March 22, March 29, and April 5.

Presented by the Godly Play Foundation, the classes will be led by chaplain Ryan Campbell, Cynthia Hill (a member at All Saints’ Fort Worth), and Anne Spradley at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 5001 Crestline Rd., Fort Worth, TX 76107. The modules covered will be Sacred Stories and the Spirituality of Childhood (March 22), Parables and Supporting the Circle (March 29), and Liturgical Action and The Environment (April 5).

Completing all three sessions is required for certification, and the classes may be taken together in this spring sequence or spaced out over a longer time. Before attending the training, participants are asked to read “Teaching Godly Play: How to Mentor the Spiritual Development of Children,” by Jerome W. Berryman. (Kindle edition is now available.)

Registrations received by March 1 qualify for the early rate of $345 for all three modules, or $125 per module. After March 1, the rates increase to $375 and $150. Register now – space is limited and priority will be given to those seeking certification. For registration you will need participants’ names, email addresses, dietary requests and a credit card.
