All invited to Advent Quiet Day at St. Martin’s, Keller on December 12

Men, women, and teens are invited to spend several hours of reflection on December 12 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church in the Keller/Southlake area. Advent Quiet Day offers time during this very busy season that is set apart to stop and rest and be with the Lord. All are welcome to come share this day of intentional silence, meditation, and worship. The day starts with 9:30 am Morning Prayer in the church sanctuary. Lunch will be provided at noon. Please RSVP to Linda Snow at snowman2014@outlook.com or386-717-9238.

Come with me by yourself to a quiet place and get some rest.  ~Mark 6:31

How it works

Except in worship, participants will be silent during the day. In periods following each meditation, you are welcome to go to various parts of our campus to be alone, to pray, to reflect, contemplate, meditate, or to read. We’ll ring a bell when it is time to return to the sanctuary for the next meditation.

  • 09:30 – 10:00 Morning Prayer, welcome and instructions for the day
  • 10:00 – 11:00 5-10 minute meditation, then silent time
  • 11:00 – 12:00 5-10 minute meditation, then silent time
  • 12:00  Lunch in the west parish hall
  • 12:45 – 1:30 5-10 minute meditation, then silent time
  • 1:30 – 2:00 worship with Holy Communion
