The Rev. Dr. Wil Gafney named Outstanding Mentor by Society of Biblical Literature

Dr. Wil Gafney, professor of Hebrew Bible at Brite Divinity School, is one of the first recipients of the Outstanding Mentor Award of the Society of Biblical Literature and its Committee on Underrepresented Racial and Ethnic Minorities in the Profession (CUREMP). Bishop Sam B. Hulsey – February 14, 1932 – August 6, 2020

The Rt. Rev. Sam B. Hulsey, former bishop of the Diocese of Northwest Texas and assisting bishop in the Diocese of Fort Worth, died on August 6, 2020, on the Feast of the Transfiguration, his favorite feast day. He died at Selby Hill, his beloved family homestead in Parker County. He was 88 years old. A memorial service will be held when it is safer to gather.
