Resurrection Decatur launches adult education series

The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, Decatur, is embarking on the congregation’s first adult education series – a program called Revive. It is a curriculum from Forward Movement to “equip lay leaders to be spiritual leaders.”  Over the next year there will be three sessions, each lasting six weeks, concluding with a retreat. Two parishes take on hard issues

Music for Food – musicians raising money to fight hunger

Music for Food is a musician-led initiative for local hunger relief. Concerts raise resources and awareness in the fight against hunger, empowering any musicians who wish to use their artistry to further social justice. Interfaith prayer service for New Zealand victims Sunday, March 31

On March 15, 2019, a gunman targeted two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand: the Al Noor Mosque, where 42 people were killed, and the Linwood Mosque, where seven people died. St. Luke’s, Stephenville, receives grant for campus ministry

St. Luke’s, Stephenville, is the recipient of a $14,000 Young Adult and Campus Ministry Grant from The Episcopal Church.  The Rev. In this two-minute video, Bishop Mayer invites us to take on a Lenten practice and “settle into it,”  because doing so will make Easter even more meaningful. He suggests the Small Group Curriculum found among the digital resources that have been developed around Presiding Bishop Michael Curry’s Way of Love. A very short course in conflict

The Rev. Canon Linda Taylor presented a workshop on dealing with conflict at the Leadership Training Day on February 23, 2019, at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Keller.
