The convention planning committee was unable to negotiate special rates with Arlington area hotels for the 2014 Diocesan Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth on November 14-15, 2014.
Bishop High, the diocesan staff, and guests from the Diocese of Texas are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn at 2190 E Lamar, Arlington, TX, 76006, 817-274-6644. The Hilton Garden Inn is within 5 blocks of the convention venue. Quotes per night are not negotiated but range from $155 to $169 per night. The hotel features complimentary parking, wireless internet in all rooms, evening room service, heated out door pool and whirlpool, and 24-hour business and fitness center. There is a complimentary trolley service to the entertainment venues.
Another close hotel is the Hampton Inn at 2200 Brookhollow Plaza Drive, Arlington, Texas, 76006, 817-652-9562. This Hampton Inn is north of I-30, is about 5 blocks from the venue, and has rooms for about $139 per night. They advertise complimentary breakfast and free internet.
There are many other hotels in the area. Delegates, visitors, and exhibitors should be able to easily find and book lodging near the convention venue at Globe Life Park (formerly Rangers Ballpark in Arlington), located at 1090 Ballpark Way, Arlington, TX 76011.
