Bishop High issues statement in wake of Texas Supreme Court action

We found out today the Texas Supreme Court denied our motion to stay issuance of mandate.  Of course, we had hoped they would respond positively to our request.  In the wake of this decision, our legal team is preparing for the hearing next Thursday before Judge John P. High, Jr.,  newly elected third provisional bishop of the diocese, made his first parish visitation to St. Elisabeth’s Episcopal Church, 5910 Black Oak Lane, Fort Worth, 76110 (River Oaks). Rayford High was elected and installed as the third provisional bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth during the 30th Diocesan Convention Nov. 3 at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas.
