Story Highlights

The Episcopal Network for Stewardship (TENS) is inviting congregations across the Untied States to join their 2014 Walking the Way conference via webcast June 6-7. Opening and closing worship, three keynote presentations, and four workshops will be live-streamed from the Atlanta-based conference, and subscribers may participate in real time or watch recorded webcasts at their convenience.

The Rt. Rev. Robert Wright, bishop of Atlanta, will offer the first plenary address on Friday afternoon, June 6, after opening worship. His address will be followed by the first workshop session, focused on congregations’ annual giving campaign, titled “Walking the Way – Annual Giving Campaign: A Path Ahead.”

Saturday morning begins with the workshop “Launching a Legacy Society,” followed by a keynote presentation from Joan Chittister, OSB. Saturday afternoon features two more workshops, “Generational Stewardship” presented by Fort Worth pastor Karl Travis followed by “Communicating Stewardship Year Round.” The conference and the webcast ends with a closing plenary presentation by the Rev. Charles La Fond and closing worship.

In the Central Time zone, the live webcast will begin on Friday at 12noon and end at 4:15pm. Saturday’s live webcast will run from 7:30 to 11:30am and from 12:45 to 3:15pm. This year, in addition to real time, the webcast can also be viewed at any time that is convenient for your congregation, starting two hours after the real-time live presentation. Click here for that schedule. For those who register, the recorded webcast will be available from Friday, June 6, the day the conference begins, to Sunday, June 29

The individual and small group webcast registration rate is $75 per site. (A small group is six or fewer viewers.) For large groups (seven or more viewers), registration is $150.
