Third module of Safeguarding course offered at Convention

Safeguarding God’s People – Preventing Sexual Harassment is the third module in the Safeguarding series. This course will be offered as a pre-convention educational opportunity for clergy and church leaders. It is required for all clergy and vestry members and has not been available in the Diocese of Fort Worth for quite some time. It will be taught by The Rev. Nancy Igo, Director of Communication and Human Resources in the Diocese of Northwest Texas.

The class will be held right before Diocesan Convention at the convention site on Friday, November 13 from 9 am to 12 pm, with lunch following the class. To register for this important course, please contact the diocesan office at 817-534-1900 or email office@edotn.org no later than Friday, November 6.

Other upcoming Safeguarding classes in November will be held at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church:

  • Safeguarding God’s Children will be offered on Saturday, November 7
  • Safeguarding God’s People – Preventing Sexual Exploitation will be offered on Saturday, November 21

Both classes will be held from 9 am to 12 pm. To register, email Tara Moore at St. Christopher’s (office@stchrisfw.org). Please register no later than one week before each class.
