St. Simon of Cyrene hosts third annual Prayer Breakfast
The Episcopal Church Women of St. Simon of Cyrene hosted their third annual Prayer Breakfast at
St. Christopher Episcopal Church on Saturday, May 23. Marvinell Johnson opened the event with a
moving invocation. Falon Fentress,
St. Simon ECW president, welcomed everyone and Willa Lister introduced
guests. A lovely brunch buffet was served after which Jackie Meeks introduced the speaker, the
Rev. Angela Ifill, program director for the National Church Office of Black Ministries.
Rev. Ifill's topic was "Women: The Ties that Bind the Church, Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow." Following her presentation, she celebrated Holy Eucharist for those in attendance.
