More resources for Lent

We are delighted to share two additional Lenten resources.

Praying in color for a personal devotion

Praying in Color offers adults and children a way to mark the day-by-day journey of Lent daily praying & drawing with a calendar template.

The author says, “It doesn’t involve making false promises to myself about sitting down for thirty minutes a day and praying/studying/meditating and then feeling guilty when I fail… I think of each mark or stroke of color as a wordless prayer.” Four calendar templates are offered, along with suggestions for ways to pray with doodling.

Church Next video courses for personal or group learning

Do you want to journey deeper into your faith? ChurchNext offers five free, open online courses this Lent. They have partnered with Trinity Institute to offer a free online Lenten series on Racial Justice. This series of courses is based on Trinity Institute’s 2016 conference, Listen for a Change: Sacred Conversations for Racial Justice, and it includes these presenters: Presiding Bishop Michael Curry, Eduardo Bonilla-Silva, PhD., Kelly Brown Douglas, MDiv, PhD., Jennifer Harvey, and J. Kameron Carter, PhD. Each course is free from the date on which it launches throughout Lent, 2016.
