Letter from Bishop Rayford High in thanksgiving for Reimagining Our Church event

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ in the Diocese of Fort Worth,

I cannot tell you all how very pleased I am about our weekend when we remembered the fifth anniversary reconstitution of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth with the Reimagining Our Church event. We were blessed to have both the presiding bishop and the president of the House of Deputies with us all day Saturday to listen to our stories, to hear how we are moving forward in mission and ministry in this part of the Episcopal Church and the larger Anglican Communion. We were encouraged by both of our elected leaders to continue to be creative in doing church and reaching out to those in need of God’s love, acceptance, and forgiveness. Out of our meeting times have emerged several exciting initiatives from you all, and we will follow up on them and implement them.

I am so grateful for the leadership, work and huge effort of our team of laity and clergy who did so very much to make this a memorable weekend. I am particularly grateful to the two co-chairs: Margaret Muieli and Maggie Withroder and those on the planning team who did so much. I am grateful to the Rev. Curt Norman and his team who put together such a wonderful worship time for us. I am so, so grateful for the good leadership we have in this great diocese and your willingness to step forward. Bless you all for your ministries. You all make my role as bishop of Fort Worth so enjoyable and fun.

The Rt. Rev. Rayford B. High, Jr.
Bishop
The Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth
