Kevin Johnson installed as priest-in-charge, St. Alban’s, Arlington

The Rev. Kevin A. Johnson was installed as priest-in-charge of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, meeting at Theatre Arlington, on Thursday, June 11. 2015, by the Rt. Rev. Rayford B. High, Jr.

Johnson’s wife, Sandy, was present for the celebration of new ministry, as was his father, Ray Johnson; his brother and sister-in-law, Kerry and Lou Johnson; and his mother-in-law, Gloria Belisch.

Johnson grew up in Arlington, was confirmed at St. Alban’s, and graduated from Nolan High School. He graduated from the University of Texas, and served in the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, ending his service career as an assistant professor of ROTC at Texas State University. In 2000 he entered Virginia Theological Seminary. After graduating, he became a curate at St. Francis, San Antonio and in 2007 became rector of St. Peter’s.
