On October 30, Bishop Rayford High and the Rev. David Madison were notified by Sam McDonald, director of mission for The Episcopal Church, that the diocese has been awarded a $3,500 Program Grant. The diocese is eligible to apply for a grant next year as well. The Rev. Madison said, “We applied for it to supplement our current campus ministry efforts at UT – Arlington and Tarleton State University in Stephenville, and to fund a start-up ministry at TCU.”
Currently there are Wednesday student gatherings at Trinity, Fort Worth, led by the Rev. Andrew Wright. A portion of the funds will be used for a retreat for college students, coordinated by leaders and students associated with campus ministry in the diocese.
