Clergy invited to Chrism Mass – Good news for leaders

Tuesday of Holy Week (April 15) is the date of the diocese’s annual “mass of collegiality,” or “Chrism Mass,” and all clergy are cordially invited to attend. The mass, to be celebrated at St. Luke’s in the Meadow, 4301 Meadowbrook Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76103 will begin at 11am, with Bishop Rayford High preaching and presiding.

During the service, oils for for chrismation at baptism and for healing will be blessed, so that clergy serving in congregations can replenish their supply. Traditionally the service includes the renewal of baptismal vows and the reaffirmation of the unity of priests and deacons with their bishop.

Following worship, all the clergy are invited to a simple lunch in St. Luke’s parish hall. Clergy are asked to RSVP by Friday, April 11 to Michele at the diocesan office (michele.king@edotn.org, 817-534-1900).
