Christmas shopping supports St. Alban’s outreach

St. Alban’s, Arlington, is conducting a “Schwan’s Cares” fundraiser to support the congregation’s outreach ministries that might just solve Christmas shopping problems from the comfort of one’s home. Here’s how it works:

Log into https://www.schwans-cares.com/  and in the search field enter either the church’s campaign number, 15609, or the name “St. Alban’s Outreach.” Shoppers can purchase a $25 e-certificate (as gift or for yourself) or simply shop. Be aware that shoppers will be asked for the St. Alban’s information at the very end of the process when shopping on the site. During the active campaign, which is through Dec 24th, the church will receive 40% on every e-certificate (one per person) and 20% on all other purchases.

Proceeds will benefit St. Alban’s outreach ministries, which include such local projects as raising funds for Tarrant County College scholarships for students from Crow Elementary in Arlington, supporting the Arlington Life Shelter, contributing to the Angel Tree project providing Christmas gifts to children of prison inmates, and participating in the ‘Walk to Action’ to raise awareness of child abuse. St. Alban’s outreach ministries also contribute to national programs: Episcopal Relief and Development, the United Thank Offering, and work toward meeting the Millennium Development Goals.
