Bishop High visits St. Alban’s Arlington
The Rt. Rev. Rayford B. High, Jr., visited St. Alban’s, Arlington, worshiping in Theater Arlington, on Sunday January 27.
St. Alban’s sets up for worship on the theater’s stage, working around whatever set the current play requires. The set for “The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife” is the kitchen and dining room of a home, which gave the service the feel of a house mass at times.
Bishop High baptized Mason Williams, confirmed Ann Connell, and received Doug Hunt and Ellen Hunt. He also confirmed Kristen Robinson of All Saints, Fort Worth. Ms. Robinson’s family was unable to attend when Bishop High recently did confirmations at All Saints, so Bishop High, the Rev. Christopher Jambor, rector of All Saints; and the Rev. Melanie Wright of St. Alban’s arranged to have the confirmation at St. Alban’s.
The annual parish meeting immediately followed the service. After the meeting, a pot luck luncheon was held in the theater’s foyer.
