Hope Benko made director of enrollment, Seminary of Southwest

The Seminary of the Southwest in Austin announced recently that the Rev. Hope Benko will lead the enrollment office at the seminary, effective June 1.

“I am excited about this opportunity to serve the national church in training the future leaders in our congregation, but it is always sad to leave a place behind. The diocese of Fort Worth is such a vibrant, faithful community, and we will all treasure our time there and hope to see you often,” Benko said.

Benko has served as upper and middle school chaplain and religion teacher at All Saints’s Episcopal School since 2011. She served as a deputy to General Convention in Salt Lake City. She has been serving as priest in charge at St. Mary’s, Hillsboro, and as chaplain to the Daughters of the King chapters in the diocese.

Her husband, the Rev. Andrew Benko is finishing his dissertation for a Ph.D. in New Testament, and they have two children, aged 7 and 5.
