Justin Welby appointed as new Archbishop of Canterbury

In North Texas, we awoke to official announcements that a new Archbishop of Canterbury had been appointed. The Rt. Rev. Mexican lunch & dinner at St Luke’s, Stephenville raises money for outreach

“You’re never alone here at St. Luke’s.” Voting in Erath County apparently makes everyone really hungry. There were long lines at the traditional Election Day Mexican Supper at St. Luke’s, Stephenville. People came for the food, for the cause, and for the sense of community. Bishop Rayford High makes first parish visit to St. Elisabeth’s Episcopal Church, Fort Worth

The Rt. Rev. Rayford B. High, Jr.,  newly elected third provisional bishop of the diocese, made his first parish visitation to St. Elisabeth’s Episcopal Church, 5910 Black Oak Lane, Fort Worth, 76110 (River Oaks). Standing Committee elects officers for 2012-2013

The Standing Committee met immediately following the diocesan convention & elected their officers for 2012-2013. Mrs. Marti Fagley was elected president & Ms. Elinor Normand was elected Secretary. Mrs. Karen Shepherd agreed to continue to serve as Clerk of the Standing Committee. New members, the Rev. Curt Norman & Mr. Norm Snyder, were welcomed to the Standing Committee.
